Since moving to New York City, Max Hergenrother received his MFA from School of Visual Arts in 2005 and has been working as a professional Illustrator. Max has worked in children's literature, book jacket design, web and dvd design, as well as advertising and trade publications. Max's illustrations and fine art have appeared in Macmillan, Farrar, Straus and Giroux, Reed Business, NetConnect Magazine, New York Times, Newsday, Batsford Publishing, Annova Books, Wading River Books, Rapid River Media, Sleeping Dog Studios, and others.
Currently Max is an Assistant Adjunct Professor at St. John's University and an Art Instructor at the Nassau County Museum of Arts.
