Acclaimed artist, Joy Taylor, studied art at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. She is both artist and graphic designer. Her work has been widely exhibited in galleries, and museums throughout the United States.
Joy Taylor’s 40' glass mosaic, The Four Seasons, was commissioned by the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority’s Arts program. Her 2002 exhibit at Nikolai Fine Art in New York City, was dubbed "The Best Show of the Season" by Christopher Chambers in New York Arts Magazine.
Recently the New York Times applauded Joy’s drawings, describing them as "delicate layers of stenciled imagery... complex tonal variations achieved by feathered edges, superimposed forms and cut out overlays, subtly enhanced by crumpled surfaces and threads that tie the layers together."
